Frequently asked questions
Does the Repair Bonus automatically reduce every washing machine or dishwasher repair quote ?
No. ecosystem offers a 50 € discount for each of these appliances when an out-of-warranty repair is eligible and carried out by a QualiRépar-approved repairer. Before comparing quotes, ask the professional to confirm that the fault is eligible and that the discount will be applied to the bill.
Which index should I look for on a washing machine or dishwasher product listing ?
For the relevant front-loading and top-loading washing machines, look for the durability index. It has applied since 8 April 2025, and its breakdown must be available when buying online. For a dishwasher covered by the scheme, look for the repairability index and the criteria behind its score. These indices provide information about the model you’re buying, not the fault with your old appliance.
What should I check before installing a replacement appliance ?
Check the model’s dimensions and installation type against the space available, then follow the instructions for connecting it. ADEME recommends regularly cleaning the filters and seals, and descaling washing machines and dishwashers.
Does a refurbished appliance bought from a professional seller come without a legal guarantee ?
No. In France, the legal guarantee of conformity may apply to a fault that appears within two years of delivery of an item bought from a professional seller, whether it’s new, second-hand or refurbished. It doesn’t apply in the same way to a private sale; a commercial warranty is separate.
Does the seller have to take away my old appliance when I buy an equivalent model ?
In France, the “one-for-one” take-back scheme means the retailer must take back an equivalent used appliance free of charge, up to the type and quantity of products sold. Check the arrangements before delivery; take-back doesn’t mean installation of the new appliance is included.
