What should you look for before buying?
When choosing a drink to go with office snacks, first decide whether it needs to contain coffee. Then compare the preparation time and serving size, rather than assuming you know what’s inside from the shape of the bag alone.
| Consideration |
What to check |
Who is this for? |
| Coffee or infusion |
Read the product name and ingredients for the variant: a pyramid tea bag may contain an infusion with no coffee. |
I want to serve iced coffee and avoid ending up with an infusion that contains no coffee. Around 42% of consumers prioritise this distinction. |
| Preparation time |
Check how long it needs to infuse and whether it has to be chilled, or choose a ready-to-drink beverage. |
When a break can’t wait for something prepared the day before, I prefer a drink that’s ready straight away; this is the priority for around 33% of consumers. |
| Serving size and ingredients |
Compare the volume per bag or container, then check the ingredients and allergens in each recipe. |
When serving several colleagues, I want to choose the right amount and take account of ingredients that everyone can have. Around 25% of consumers share this priority. |

Frequently asked questions
Does a pyramid tea bag for cold infusion always contain coffee?
No: the Lipton cold infusion in Pyramid® tea bags featured by Auchan is labelled caffeine-free. If you want to serve iced coffee, check that the product name and ingredients for the item you’ve chosen confirm it contains coffee.
Can you prepare bagged cold brew coffee during a short break?
Not with the Naad Coffee bag described by the brand: its instructions call for 24 hours or more in the fridge. Prepare it in advance and follow the instructions for the product you buy, as brewing times vary between products.
What should you check if colleagues avoid certain ingredients?
Check the label for the exact variant before serving it. For prepacked food sold in France, the Directorate-General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF) notes, among other things, that allergenic ingredients must be highlighted in the ingredients list.
How should you factor in caffeine when taking repeated breaks?
Check the ingredients and information for each drink rather than guessing its caffeine content from the format. Anses says caffeine can disrupt sleep. If you’re looking for a caffeine-free drink, choose one whose label says so, such as the Lipton cold infusion featured by Auchan.
