Frequently asked questions
Can a multicooker replace a multifunctional food processor for grating or slicing?
Not by default. A multicooker is primarily designed for cooking; to grate, slice, chop or knead, look for preparation accessories that are explicitly included, or choose a multifunctional food processor or cooking food processor equipped for these tasks.
How should you interpret an advertised capacity?
Compare the usable capacity, not just the total volume. Magimix, for example, lists a 3 L bowl but a usable capacity of 1.3 L for the CS 4200XL; capacities do not necessarily relate to the same uses or recipes.
Do guided recipes necessarily involve a subscription?
No, it depends on the brand and model. Vorwerk links the Thermomix TM7 with Cookidoo 3.0 for eligible new customers; check the current terms, which recipes are available without a subscription and the duration of any offer before choosing a connected appliance.
Can all the components go in the dishwasher?
Do not assume this applies to the whole machine or every accessory. Moulinex states that the Cookeo Touch Wifi bowl is dishwasher-safe; consult the instructions for the specific model to check the blades, bowls, lids, discs and motor unit.
Should you check the repairability score before buying in France?
Yes, when it is displayed for the category and product on offer. The French Ministry for Ecological Transition states that this score applies to certain categories of electrical and electronic equipment; consider it alongside spare-parts availability, the warranty and the seller’s repair terms.
