A pristine suit for a crucial interview, a treasured evening gown for a special occasion, a winter coat patiently waiting for the cold to return… Some items in our wardrobe deserve special treatment. After all, they face numerous threats, from dust and humidity to stubborn creases. Far from being a mere gadget, a good garment bag is the essential ally for preserving the vibrancy and lifespan of your most delicate textiles.
No marketing fluff, just the facts. In this guide, we'll break down the essential criteria for choosing the perfect garment bag for your needs. We'll then present a selection of reliable products to bring order to your wardrobe and provide lasting protection for your clothes.
Navigating the vast array of available models can be daunting. To make the right choice, let's focus on the few features that truly make a difference in daily use.
This is the number-one criterion, as it determines the level of protection for your clothes.
A suit bag is obviously not the same size as a bag for a long dress. The basic rule?: before buying, measure your longest garment. Standard models (100 to 120 cm) are sufficient for jackets, shirts, and suits. For evening gowns and coats, aim for 140 cm or more to prevent the bottom from dragging and wrinkling.
The pro tip?? Think in terms of garment bag sets. Buying a pack of several bags, in either the same or assorted sizes, is often more cost-effective and helps create a harmonious look in your wardrobe.
It's often the small finishing touches that simplify your life?:
To put theory into practice, here are three products that caught our eye. Each meets a specific need and offers excellent value for money.
Why it stands out?: This is the ultimate all-in-one solution. With two different sizes in one set, it adapts to diverse wardrobes. The 100 cm bags are perfect for suits and jackets, while the 120 cm ones easily accommodate mid-length coats and dresses. A single purchase to cover all the essentials.
Advantages?:
Who is it for?? For those who want a complete and versatile starter solution to organise both everyday outfits and longer garments.
Why it stands out?: Made from breathable non-woven fabric, this set of five identical 120 cm bags is ideal for standardising the storage of your long garments. Its air-permeable material is a major plus for the long-term preservation of suits, coats, or dresses made from natural fibres.
Advantages?:
Who is it for?? For suit collectors, or for seasonal storage of winter coats and long dresses, when fabric breathability is the number-one criterion.
Why it stands out?: The key feature of this PEVA set?? Its transparency. No more opening every bag to find the right jacket?! In addition to making organisation easier, this water-resistant material provides an effective barrier against dust and humidity. A perfect protective garment cover for harsher environments.
Advantages?:
Who is it for?? For fans of "seeing everything at a glance" and those who need maximum protection against humidity, for example, for storage in a cellar, attic, or simply for transport.
Our selection targets the most common needs, but every wardrobe is unique. Special sizes, wedding dress bags, hanging organisers… If you have specific requirements, feel free to explore our full range.

1. What is the difference between a PEVA bag and a non-woven fabric bag?? It's all about breathability?! Non-woven fabric allows air to circulate, making it ideal for long-term storage (especially for wool or cotton). PEVA is waterproof and offers better protection from humidity, but it doesn't "?breathe?". Its advantage?: it's often transparent, which is very practical for seeing what's inside.
2. Can garment bags be washed?? We strongly advise against machine washing, as it could damage the fabric or the zip. A simple wipe with a damp sponge or cloth is more than enough. Then, let it air dry completely. And of course, only store clean and perfectly dry clothes inside?!
3. Is storing clothes in plastic long-term a good or bad idea?? It's a bad idea for storage lasting several months. 100% plastic (non-breathable) bags trap moisture, which can create musty odours and even damage fabrics. Reserve them for transport or for storage of a few weeks at most. For everything else, always opt for breathable materials like non-woven fabric.
